FOTD | Purple Smokes.

Lips: MAC lipstick in Japanese Maple (cremesheen formula).

I decided to test out the Urban Decay Electric palette that I blogged about yesterday because I was too impatient to leave it sitting until I had an occasion to use. I can officially say I LOVE it! After doing a little research, I discovered it is best to use a primer with this palette as the colours may stain the lids but I apply a primer every time I use eyeshadow to prevent creasing so that didn't bother me in the slightest. I used Revolt all over the lid, Jilted in the crease and Urban in the outer V as well as my lower lash line to create a nice smokey purple eye. I would definitely wear this on a night out with a pair of false lashes to make it even more dramatic!
What kind of look do you think I should try next?

Urban Decay Electric Palette

After a long day at work, I came home to a delivery and excitedly ripped open the package to find the Urban Decay Electric palette that I ordered last week! My first impression was how amazing the packaging is. Look at it! It can definitely be said that Urban Decay do not miss a beat when it comes to how they display their products.

I'll state the obvious here and say this palette is definitely not for the faint hearted. The Electric palette features 10 highly pigmented and buttery eyeshadows that range from a lovely silver to a bright canary yellow and a dual-ended brush. It features 2 eyeshadows from previous palettes that Urban Decay have released, Revolt and Chaos, but the other 8 are brand new. I didn't order the palette when I first seen blog posts and YouTube videos about it because I was scared that the shadows would be chalky with little to no colour pay off but Urban Decay have not disappointed me one bit. Each shade gives an amazing colour with one swipe, I was swatching my arm like crazy but unfortunately, the photos didn't come out as great as I'd like them to and didn't represent the true colour of each of the eyeshadows. Sorry!

Overall, I'm SO glad that I've added this little beauty to my palette collection. It's time for me to put my neutrals to one side and get experimenting with some brights - just in time for summer too! Expect a FOTD post in the next few days.

I bought my Urban Decay Electric Palette from Debenhams for £38.

New Beginnings...

Hi everyone!

I thought I would post a quick introductory post for my new blog. My name is Chelsie and I'm a 20 year old student from Scotland who has a slight obsession with absolutely anything to do with hair and beauty. I have tried going down the blogging route before but it proved quite difficult trying to balance university life, a full time job and everything else but I'm back for another go because I'm not working as much... plus I definitely need some sort of platform to share my thoughts (minus constant tweeting and annoying my friends about new releases etc)!

My blog will consist of make up, hair (particularly extensions - I'm an addict) and a few lifestyle posts thrown into the mix I think. I'll take it post by post and see what I can come up with.

Now it's time for me to wrap my head around HTML once more!
